Cookie policy
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a minute text file placed on your hard disk by a web server. It is actually a type of identification that helps distinguish one user from another. A cookie is unique and can only be read by the server that supplied you with the cookie. Other techniques, such as JavaScripts or web beacons, are standard web technologies that enable cookies to store data, send data and track how frequently a page is viewed.
What are cookies used for?
Cookies have various functions, which can be divided into three categories: functional cookies, analytical cookies and tracking cookies. Functional cookies are those that are necessary for the website to function. Examples of these are cookies that remember the language setting you have chosen and cookies that remember which products are in your shopping basket. Analytical cookies are used, among other things, for measuring the quality and effectiveness of the website, e.g. by recording visitor statistics. Google Analytics is often used for this purpose. Tracking cookies are cookies that register your browsing behaviour on a website in order to assemble a profile of you that can be used to display information relevant to you, such as advertisements for example.
